ISO/SAE 21434: 2022 Standard provides guidance to the manufacturers to gain control of Cyber Security aspects at all levels product life cycle comprising electrical and electronic systems, components and or parts of a road vehicles. Comprising 15 Clauses, 37 sub-clauses, 101 requirements, 13 recommendations, 4 permissions and 42 work products. This standard supports the requirements of UNECE Regulation Number 155, WP29 guidelines and ARAI certifications for Type approvals.
Threat Modelling and TARA – Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment play a crucial role in implementing the standard. ISO 21434 complements other standards such as Vehicle Safety, Cloud security, Information Security, and Risk Management.
